How do businesses adapt to change effectively?
Essay written as a submission to the University of Law "Real World Questions Essay" Competition, in which I was awarded the Regional Prize Winner for the South and Wales.
As expressed by members of BCG, “Of the many pressing demands on leaders, transforming their companies to adopt a new, ‘bionic’ operating model may be the most urgent and will require them to lead in new ways”. Many of the most successful and, arguably, adaptive companies work under a bionic structure. A bionic company aims to optimise the potential of humans and technology, to create a corporation that is not only able to survive but thrive in the current and future economic climate. While firms initially thought they would have five years to adopt this structure, the current pandemic has accelerated the need to become responsive to a dynamic market, leaving them with approximately two years.

Drone Market Report
Completed for CEO, distributed to mailing list via website.
The drone industry is expected to continue to grow rapidly in the coming years. As outlined in the “Advancing airborne autonomy” report, drones “offer public and private organisations an opportunity to carry out tasks faster, safer, cheaper and with less impact on the environment than traditional methods.” “They will also contribute to improving domestic connectivity and levelling up by providing better services to and from remote or isolated communities”.
